Today marks the first day of the leagues brand new website. On the site you will find the rules, Schedule and any important news updates for the league. Also I am willing to listen to any suggestions to help make the site better. And as a bonus for any sponsors we could add some additional advertising on the site. Thanks to everybody for everything this weekend. There were some minor incidents in regards to rules but overall the weekend went very well. I would also like to congratulate all of the division winners.

I have received the invoice for the opening and closing tournaments this year and am going to look at changes to the schedule for next season to help cut the cost of the league. Some of the changes I am looking at are, no longer having an opening tournament, or making the season shorter and having a playoff instead of opening and closing tournaments. My plan is to have a schedule in place by the banquet so that all teams can vote on it.

In regards to the banquet most teams received tickets and the feedback was very positive. It looks like we will have no problem getting enough people interested in attending. In order to have door prizes at the banquet I am going to ask that each team bring a small prize with them at a value of about $20. If there are any other suggestions please feel free to contact me via email or telephone.

The City of Kingston has decided to take Shannons Corners away from all adult leagues. Because of this development all games scheduled for Shannons will now be played at Brewers Mills. As for next year the City is going to shift some of the minor league games to Shannons and possibly open up some spots at Cloverdale. I have already spoken to Lacricia Turner and informed her that we would be interested in any spots we could get at Cloverdale.

I have spoke with the Loyalist Township again about diamonds and was informed that two leagues have given up spots at Wilton Diamond. Next year these spots will be available and we could have them if we want. The cost of the Loyalist Diamonds is slightly higher but it would mean no more games at Brewers Mills.

I would like to congratulate Bells Angels for making it into the win column this year. It is still early in the season maybe you guys can make it two by the end of the year. Good work, keep having fun.

The weather has caused some problems with the schedule this year. I have a list of the games that need to be rescheduled but have not decided on dates to make up the games yet. The Loyalist Township has offered to give us some times at Wilton for free this year to make up for some rain games. I will be contacting the team captains soon with dates.

As for the banquet, there is mixed feelings from teams in regards to interest. I have decided to keep the booking and see how things go. There is at least 5 teams that will have a good number of their players attending. I think as we get closer to the date we will start getting more interest.

The interest in the banquet has appeared to dwindled. There are still some teams interested and I hope we can still get a decent turn out. The hall is paid for and we can no longer get this money back. The date is October the 4^th at the 560 Legion on Montreal St. in Kingston.

The end of the year is approaching quickly and as many teams are already aware of I will be stepping down as President of the league next season. I was hoping to have the nomination meeting at the banquet so that we would have the entire off season to make the transition to the new President. If you have anybody you would like to nominate for the position or if you are interested in the position please contact me before the banquet.
